The Once and Future King Yields 4th Place

St. David's Brass earned 4th Place at the Scottish Championships held on 21st March 2009 in the Caird Hall, Dundee.

Following the usual rehearsal on Friday, the band traveled up to Dundee ahead of the Saturday contest. The band rehearsed in the morning in St. Andrew's Cathedral before heading to the venue.

The draw saw the band perform last in the 3rd section providing a lengthy wait before playing. Strong performances from other bands left St. David's with it all to do.

The fourth place finish sees a drop from the third they achieved last year but the band remain positive and focused on their goal of promotion.

Congratulations go to Coalburn Silver and Dunfirmline Town Band who will be representing Scotland in the 3rd Section National finals. Good luck from all at St. David's!

St. David's Brass would also like to thank the Bishop of Dunkeld for the use of the cathedral hall as a rehearsal venue.
