Looking to add unforgettable live music to your upcoming event? St David’s Brass is a premier, award-winning Scottish charity brass band (SC047976) based in Gorebridge, Midlothian.
As well as hosting its own concerts, St David's Brass is available for bookings at your own events. From majestic full-band concerts and vibrant outdoor galas to intimate wedding ceremonies and community events, we tailor our ensemble and repertoire to match your exact venue, budget, and event style across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Scottish Borders.
Whether you need a powerful 25-piece brass band or a subtle soloist, we offer flexible line-ups to suit your occasion:
Best for: Concert halls, galas, Christmas markets, outdoor parks, and large community ceremonies.
A rich, full-bodied brass sound complete with percussion. Features film themes, traditional melodies, classical favourites, pop arrangements, and festive classics.
Best for: Weddings, corporate receptions, private parties, church services, and mid-sized venues.
A versatile, compact group (typically cornets, horn, trombone, and tuba) offering a balanced, sophisticated acoustic background or feature performance without taking up excessive floor space.
Best for: Remembrance Day services, military commemorations, funerals, and ceremonial fanfares.
A poignant, professional performance of The Last Post, Reveille, or custom ceremonial fanfares.
Weddings and celebrations: Add an elegant touch to your guest arrival, ceremony processional, or evening reception.
Community events and galas: Elevate village fetes, summer galas, Highland gatherings, and parade marches across the Lothians.
Corporate functions and product launches: Make a bold impression at dinners, award ceremonies, or charity galas in Edinburgh city centre.
Christmas markets and festive light-ups: Bring warmth and holiday cheer to festive markets and carol services with classic Christmas brass arrangements.
Church services and remembrance events: Dignified, reflective brass music tailored for civic services and memorials.
Over 40 years of experience: Founded in 1981, our musicians bring high standards of performance and professionalism to every event – having most recently competed at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
Versatile repertoire: From classical classics, Scottish hymns and folk tunes to modern pop hits and big band showpieces.
Supporting local music and community: As a registered Scottish charity, all performance fees go directly back into funding the band's activities, our Training Band and our efforts in providing free instruments and tuition for young people in Midlothian.
Performance fees vary depending on the ensemble size (Full Band vs. Quintet), venue location, performance duration, and date. Because we are a non-profit charity, our fees are competitive and directly support local community music education. Contact us for a custom quote.
