In Concert: Guest player, Michael Dodd accompanied by St. David's Brass. Also featuring Norwegian brass band, Tysnes Musikklag.
Saturday 23rd March, 7.15 pm at Blackhall St. Columba's Parish Church, Edinburgh.
Michael Dodd began playing at the age of 11 for the Grimethorpe Junior Band, finally playing with Grimethorpe Colliery Band after gaining experience with other bands. He studied for his degree under the direction of the late Major Peter Parkes and was tutored by Billy Miller and Dr Nicholas Childs. One of his many current commitments is as a peripatetic brass teacher in NorthYorkshire.
St. David's Brass are delighted to be hosting an evening Concert, featuring visiting Norwegian band, Tysnes Musikklag, as well as Guest player Michael Dodd, who is Solo Euphonium with Grimethorpe Colliery Band and who will be accompanied by St. David's Brass.
